Online Resources Access

Rice University students, faculty and staff have access to Rice-subscribed databases, journals, ebooks, and streaming media available in OneSearch and the Databases A-Z List. These electronic resources can be accessed off-campus by signing into EZproxy using your NetID and password.

Due to licensing restrictions, off-campus access is only available for current faculty, staff, matriculated students, and Emeritae faculty. Matriculated students include those in the Continuing Education program.

All other users, including Rice-designated “Academic Visitors,” have access to Rice-subscribed electronic resources when using campus computers or while connected to the Rice wifi network. Visitors attempting to access Fondren's subscription-based resources, while off-campus, will not be able to proceed past the Rice EZproxy login page.

Due to licensing restrictions, SciFinder Scholar is only available to students, faculty and staff engaged in scientific research. More information on SciFinder can be found in the FAQ.

Alumni have access to select databases through the Rice Alumni Digital Library in the Rice Portal. An alumni login is required. More information can be found at the Alumni Services page
