Introduction to Critical Thinking in Photography

What makes a good photo? The answer is entirely subjective, but you know what you like when you see it. In this course, we will take a look at a number of examples of "good" photographs and break down what makes them appealing, discussing the composition principles and photographic techniques used to achieve the desired effect. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring in photos that they like to discuss in addition to the provided examples, in whatever readily available digital format. The objective is that participants come away with a better understanding of how photographic techniques can be combined and used in practice to create a desired outcome.
